Calculate your hours

Enter the start and end time of one shift, its unpaid break in minutes, and the number of shifts. The calculator subtracts the break from each shift, then multiplies the remaining time by the number of shifts. For an overnight shift, set the end time earlier than the start time.

Example: five workdays

Starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 5:30 PM is 8 hours 30 minutes. After a 30-minute unpaid break, that is 8 hours per shift; across five identical shifts the result is 40 hours.

Check your schedule: This assumes every shift has the same hours and break. It does not calculate overtime rules, holiday pay or different daily schedules. Calculate differing shifts separately and add their results.
