How the age calculator works
Choose the birth date and, if known, the birth time. Then choose the date and time you want to measure against. The result shows calendar years, months and days, plus total elapsed time in days, hours and minutes. If you do not know the birth time, the form starts at 12:00 AM, so the hours and minutes are only an estimate.
For example, a person born on January 1, 2000 is 25 years old on January 1, 2025. Select a later date to see the additional months and days. The next-birthday line counts forward from the date you selected, rather than from the day you opened the page.
For February 29 births, the calculator treats February 28 as the birthday in non-leap years. Legal age rules can differ by location; use the result for personal planning rather than an official eligibility decision.
Common questions
Can I calculate my age on a future date?
Yes. Set “Calculate age on” to the future date and time you want to check. The result shows your age on that selected date.
Does the calculator include total elapsed days?
Yes. Below the calendar age, it shows elapsed days, hours and minutes based on the two local dates and times you entered.
What if I do not know my birth time?
You can leave the default birth time in place. Calendar age remains useful, but the elapsed hours and minutes will be an estimate.
